Background

Dr. Carol Beatty is a leading expert in the human and organizational issues that result from implementing change, and has been teaching and conducting research in this field for 18 years. She is currently the director of the Queen's University Industrial Relations Centre – now in its 65th year of people management training – and an Associate Professor at the Queen's School of Business.

Dr. Beatty is a sought-after speaker, consultant and trainer for a large number of national and international clients. She has contributed to prestigious professional journals including Business Quarterly, Sloan Management Review, and Human Relations, and is the author of numerous books and computer simulations.

Dr. Beatty serves on the selection committee for the prestigious Manning Awards for Canadian innovators and on the Human Resources Advisory Board of the Department of National Defence.

She holds a PhD in Organizational Behaviour, an MBA and BA from the University of Western Ontario, as well as an MA from the University of Waterloo.
